Fine vacuum generation with Chemistry Hybrid Pump RC 6

Application

The VACUUBRAND Chemistry HYBRID Pump RC 6 is used in any place where condensating and corrosive vapours are present often or in large quantities, and where an ultimate vacuum of 2 x 10-3 mbar has to be reached reliably. The RC 6 offers the vacuum performance of a two-stage rotary-vane pump but with greatly improved resistance against corrosive and condensing vapours. Typical applications are freeze drying and distillation.

Advantages

The chemistry diaphragm pump continuously evacuates the oil-sealed part of the rotary-vane pump. This drastically reduces condensation and corrosion problems in the oil reservoir.

  • Condensation of pumped substances like solvents in the oil is reduced considerably. In many cases operation without cold trap possible.
  • Especially in chemistry a much longer operation time than with usual rotary vane pumps is achievable. 
  • greatly reduced amout of waste oil
  • possibility of easy condensation of ecologically harmful vapours on the outlet side, also for recovery of solvents
  • greatly reduced corrosion when working with aggressive vapours
