Local-Area Vacuum Network VACUU•LAN® - a modular concept
A single vacuum pump for several users!
... space-saving, economic and easily expandable
Application
Vacuum generation for several applications such as rotary evaporators, drying cabinets or filtrations with a single vacuum pump.
Advantages
- space-saving, economic and flexible
- modular system, expandable or adjustable at any time
- process oriented connections according to the demands at the work place:
- choice of manual stainless steel isolation valve (ball valve)
- or manual fine tuning of pumping speed with flow control unit
- or automatic vacuum control with vacuum controller and solenoid valve
- optional additional fine tuning of pumping speed with flow control unit
- optional additional vacuum level display
- non-return valves against cross interference
- practical assembling due to connection with individually adaptable PTFE-tubings
- connection to covered tubings in ducts or open tubing (e.g. refurbishment)
- retrofitting of existing laboratory equipment also easily possible
VACUU•LAN®-Module VCL
The VCL modules are completely assembled, individually tested and ready to be connected in newly planned laboratory furniture or for installation in existing laboratories (e.g. refurbishment with wall-mounted units).
Step 1: Choice of the appropriate connecting part
The connecting parts are the link between the vacuum network tubing and the VACUU·LAN® operating modules (see Step 2). The main criterion for the choice of the appropriate connecting part A1, A2, A3, or A5 is whether VACUU·LAN® is planned for a new laboratory or for upgrading an existing laboratory or vacuum network.
Connecting part A1
For surface mounting of the vacuum lines. The most common solution for the installation of a VACUU·LAN® network onto existing laboratory furniture or on walls (e.g. refurbishment) .
Connecting part A2 (only for upgrading of existing older networks)
For rear mounting to wall or furniture panels, etc.
Connecting part A3 (only for upgrading of existing older networks):
For connection to existing special adapters.
Connecting part A5
For integration of the vacuum network into the furniture. The PTFE vacuum tubings run hidden below the surface. Connections are mounted from the front.
Step 2: Choice of the appropriate VACUU·LAN® operating modules
Manual flow control module VCL 01
With manual flow control to open / close the vacuum line and to control the flow rate.
Shut-off / manual flow control module VCL 02
For manual control of flow rate, combined with a ball valve for quick opening / closing of the vacuum line. The flow rate setting is maintained.
Manual flow control / shut-off / gauge module VCL RKM
Similar to module VCL 02, but with additional mechanical bourdon vacuum gauge to monitor the vacuum.
Automatic control module VCL 10
Electromagnetic (solenoid) valve. Allows automatic vacuum control in combination with vacuum controller VNC 1.
Manual flow control / automatic control module VCL 11
Electromagnetic (solenoid) valve for automatic vacuum control with additional manual flow rate control.
Shut-off module VCL K
With ball valve for quick opening / closing of the vacuum line.
Manual flow control module for hoods VCL AR
Consists of a manual control unit for installation outside the hood, and a separate vacuum port for installation inside the hood.
Automatic control module for hoods VCL AE
Consists of an automatic control unit for installation outside the hood, and a separate vacuum port for installation inside the hood. Additional measuring port inside the hood for connection of vacuum controller VNC 1.
